Are you a fan of vintage trailers, making new friends and having family fun? Then you need to come to Trailerfest! This premier event for owners of vintage camping vehicles gives fans and owners a chance to show off what they got while enjoying a full weekend of fun themed activities.
Although this year’s celebration is sold out, many of the events and appearances will be coming back for 2017’s big time event, so there is a lot to look forward to. Trailerfest goes from Thursday to Sunday, Oct. 13 to Oct. 16 at the Jellystone Park at Tower Park in Lodi, California, and every day is sure to entertain. Here are just a few of the fantastic activities on the itinerary for 2016.
When guests arrive on Thursday, a tasty potluck dinner will be waiting while guests mingle with other visitors from all over the country. On Friday, they start with some toasty coffee and a clinic on vintage trailers, offering a day for guests to relax and check out the other trailers on site before the evening takes a decidedly Christmassy turn with time with Santa Claus, an ugly sweater contest, cookie decorating, and to top off the night, a Christmas movie fit for the entire family.
Saturday is also guaranteed to be a blast. Participants will wake up bright and early and enjoy breakfast provided by the organizers before the kicking off one of the most beloved events of the week, the bike and dog parade! Next, enjoy the mini bike rumble followed by dinner and a rockin’ live band at night. Outside guests are permitted to bring their classic bicycles and vintage cars during the day Saturday, and are asked to bring a toy to donate to charity for the Christmas season.
Trailerfest closes Saturday with dinner and a live band, with guests invited to a farewell pajama part on Sunday morning with a grilled breakfast sandwich bar and coffee to energize everyone to hitch back up and set back on the road home.

Boot Camp
Of course, Trailerfest isn’t the only awesome event to look forward to. Next March you can sign up for fun and excitement that is Vintage Camper Trailers’ Boot Camp. Planned for March 3-5 at the same campgrounds as Trailerfest, this camping trip offers an experience that combines educational classwork with fun and instructional demonstrations.
The best thing about this event is that it is for both novice and experienced restorers as everyone gets the chance to work with industry pros. If you are considering a new restoration project, this is the place to be – and even better, there’s still time to sign up for this awesome event.
